Decolonization of Self

silence, so thick your heartbeat echos through the room you feel there must be something wrong, coming from the cityscape the song of a bird has the effect of a train whistle blowing outside your window here, it holds the same relative power tucked in my bag, I'm scared by the power of my heart in the cityscape it often loses all power, drowned out by the train whistles, screen buzzes, and monetary jingles the power all beings hold —birds, humans, trees has been replaced by the power of machine sounds and media waves but here in the middle of the forest,  on a day of pounding rain and howling wind, I'm reminded that my heart's in the same soundscape as nature, and that someday all humans will hear this true power again
